Curly Hair, I Care

Ya gal is running a race! I found out that the uni where I work is hosting a race, so I decided that, since I've been getting into running, it'd be good to have a goal. So, she signed up.

The race is to sponsor cancer and lysosomal diseases, and for more info you can go to this site: https://www.unirunhec.org/

To donate to my campaign, go here: https://www.helloasso.com/utilisateurs/mclean-izzy/collectes/curly-hair-i-care-1

I would reaaaallllllllyyyyyyyyyy appreciate it and I will make sure to keep you all updated about how it's all going!

This is my current progress:

Which honestly I'm pretty proud of! The race isn't until April 14, so in the meantime I've just gotta work on my endurance and getting that time down!

Like I said, I'll post updates about my training, my collection and all that.
I'm aiming to raise 75€, 20 of which have already been donated so honestly anything helps, big or small you donation will be very much appreciated.

Curly Cooks: Victoria Sponge

Since we're all stuck inside for lockdown, many people are currently baking to pass the time, including me! So, Curly Cooks is a series on the various items that I'm making while on lockdown, most of which will carry personal stories. Today's recipe is the simplest of simple British bakes: Victoria Sponge. Curly Cooks: Victoria Sponge Everyone knows and loves victoria sponge: it's a classic afternoon tea staple, and if you've never made it, now is the time! It's super easy and it's an instant crowd pleaser. Let's get into it. Jump to recipe First, gather your ingredients: In order: sugar, margarine, vanilla extract, baking powder, eggs, self-raising flour Measuring the ingredients is easy, if you don't know the exact amounts, or if you want to increase or decrease the quantity, then weigh the eggs, and use about the same weight of everything else. Curly Hair, Been There: New York City (Part Six)

Curly Hair, Been There is a segment that explore the different places in the world I have been, and my experiences there. I recently went on holiday to New York and over the next few weeks I'm going to share all the cool things I did while I was there. Since I was there for a week, this is going to be a seven part series, a post for each day. Saturday was great fun. Curly Hair, Been There: New York City (Part Six) Saturday was another fairly chill day. we went to the New York Public Library first thing, to see the original Winnie the Pooh toys, which were so cute and amazing to see. If you didn’t know, I adore Winnie the Pooh. It was a big, pretty building, in which the A.A. Milne box was the highlight. This was in the children’s library though, and I don’t think children are going to appreciate these as much as adults are. Although, they are trying to keep the stories alive over the generations so maybe they do care. Anyway, that was super cool and I would 10/10 recom...

Curly Hair, What's in There?: LaLaLab

Curly Hair, What's in There?  is a segment that will explore the random topics that are always circling my mind, things I want to talk about or things I want to share. LaLaLab So, about a week ago a got an ad on my instagram feed. You know how sometimes you get ads but ignore them, sometimes you get ads that you click on and go through some of the pages of what they're selling, but decide it's too expensive, or you even get to the checkout, only to find the deal isn't what you thought it was? Well, LaLaLab is an ad that I do not regret clicking on. LaLaLab Logo I was intrigued by the idea of cheap photo prints; I think the ad was showing me the photostrips which are something I love, and having small, polaroid-style pictures around my room seemed like a nice way to decorate it; make me feel at home. So, I clicked on the link, uploaded some of my favourite pictures (to be honest I picked a lot from my boyfriend's visit because he'd literally just left P...
